Glamorous fixtures and custom details abound in this space, making it a kitchen that radiates elegance. The simple cabinets blend well with the luxurious countertops and glossy backsplash to create a room that captivates without overwhelming.
With a custom built-in pantry, glass door displays, and its calming Greystone finish, this kitchen blends elegance with plenty of discreet storage options.
Grounded in Earth Tones
This home was built by our partners at Lee Riddle Construction and features a calming, neutral color scheme throughout. Keeping that color scheme in mind, designer Terry Lilly created a kitchen grounded in rich earth tones. The result is a magnificent kitchen that is as timeless as it is welcoming.
Despite its down-to-earth color palette, this kitchen has its fair share of distinguishing elements, including the decorative island posts, custom hood, and glass door displays.
Best of Both Worlds
Remodeling the kitchen in a historic home previously featured on AETV’s Hoarders was no easy task for the Fuko-Rizzo family. Fortunately, Marsh Kitchen & Bath designers understood the family’s vision for keeping the integrity of this 1929 home while carrying the space into the 21st century. The Fuko-Rizzos needed a kitchen that would work for their young family, but also a kitchen as grand as the rest of this historic home.
To achieve this timeless style, a classic Alpine finish on the perimeter contrasts the island’s trendy Graphite stain and Alabaster glaze while beautifully complementing the butcher block that has seen the home evolve over the past 90 years!
A Twist on Traditional
Marsh Kitchen & Bath designer Jan Zuccarello started this project as an update to a 1990s kitchen and quickly turned it into the Pences’ dream kitchen. Taking out a pantry and desk area, changing a window, updating appliances, and adding a new color palette with complementary lighting made the new space light and airy with a feeling of openness. Soft gray countertops complement a light patterned quartz on the contrasting gray island.
The custom display cabinet with seeded glass and mullion detail repeated in the chair backs, along with the crown molding details, made this a dream come true for the Pence family.

Stacked Storage Makes a Statement
Designer Cherece had her work cut out for her in this previously cramped kitchen. The addition of cabinet stacks around the refrigerator made the space functional and added some much needed storage without decreasing the room’s footprint. The clients are now enjoying an enviable kitchen complete with storage features including a microwave drawer base, trash pullout, spice pullout, and two lazy Susans.
A fresh Alpine finish leaves the kitchen looking open and spacious, while the colorful backsplash adds a touch of personality to the heart of this home.
The Bold, the Beautiful
It seems contradictory to say that drama can be subtle, yet this kitchen design achieves just that with its soothing tones and strong lines. The Charlotte resident designing this space wanted something to match the modern exterior of the home. Complete with a few custom features and finishes, this kitchen is defined by the powerful impact it delivers.
The details that top off this modern dream include a waterfall Quartz countertop on the island, Rayado glass, and sophisticated brushed brass fixtures throughout.
Mixed Materials Masterpiece
Exposed wood ceilings juxtaposed against a stone wall, juxtaposed against floor-to-ceiling windows, juxtaposed against simple white cabinetry, juxtaposed against lavish countertops. This kitchen showcases it all without any one element competing for attention. It is intricate and deliberate without asserting its presence.
From its large island table to its custom wet bar, the Kastel kitchen is primed for both family time and hosting.

Situated behind a rustic sliding barn door, this bath is a hidden contemporary dream that blends into the space before it, making this space a quiet retreat in the Almes home.
Sophisticated Home Spa
In this bathroom, its relaxed, contemporary design begins with its color palette and ends with its sharp hardware. The cool gray and taupe tones permeate the space and give it a distinctly calm aspect, ideal for the space that invites you to unwind after a long day. The palette results in an ambiance reminiscent of a sophisticated home spa. Adding the element of functionality that every shared bathroom needs, the double-sink vanity offers plenty of storage space.
Contemporary style hinges on a clean aesthetic, here exemplified by unobtrusive cabinetry, countertops, and flooring. In this particular space, these elements work to maximize the bathroom and make it appear larger than it is.

Ideal for a calming bathroom setting, a contemporary aesthetic ensures that those lucky enough to start their morning routines in this space experience a relaxing ambiance. At a glance, this cool and contemporary space is simple. Check the specs and you quickly realize that a dual vanity, toe space lighting, and custom drawer stack were all carefully designed to create a stress-free escape from a busy lifestyle.
Warm & Welcoming
The warm tones that characterize Craftsman design are especially prevalent in this kitchen's cabinetry. The Maple cabinets in Cafe stain portray Craftsman style's penchant for the heavy influence of natural materials like wood. Adding to this space's warmth is a floor that seamlessly blends into the Cafe finish.
True to Craftsman style, these hues are interrupted only by unassuming lighting fixtures, natural stone countertops, tile backsplash, and muted hardware.
Above all, this kitchen prioritizes functionality and a homey feeling over extravagance.
